Brazil Unveils Details of Massive 2017 Bid Round

Brazil's Ministry of Energy has approved the basic details of a highly anticipated oil and gas bid round set to take place in 2017 that will include blocks in the prolific offshore presalt formation. Ten ultra-deepwater blocks, largely in the northern Campos Basin, will be put up for auction in the country's 14th Bid Round. Government regulator the ANP characterized the blocks as having "high potential."
