Bipartisan US Bill Urges Interior Emissions Database

A bill introduced Thursday requiring the US Interior Department to track and publicize emissions of heat-trapping gases from fossil fuel production on federal lands has little chance of passing the current Congress. But its bipartisan support indicates that Republicans in the House of Representatives, especially those from coastal districts, are no longer in lockstep refusal to address climate change legislatively.
