An anti-corruption bill recently approved by Brazil's lower legislative house has been tossed back there from the senate by a supreme court judge, leading lawmakers to allege a breach of separation of powers. The bill was passed after a spate of plea bargains were signed with executives from Brazilian engineering firm Odebrecht, which recently paid a $2.1 billion fine for its involvement in the Petrobras graft scandal (OD Dec.2'16).
