Apache Sells UK North Sea Midstream Assets

US independent Apache Corp. has sold its interests in a key UK offshore gas pipeline and terminal to private equity-backed investor Ancala Midstream Acquisitions (AMA) for an undisclosed sum, as part of an ongoing review of North Sea assets. Apache on Wednesday confirmed an agreement, subject to approval, to sell its 30.28% share of the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) pipeline and gas plant, located at St. Fergus in Scotland, and its 60.56% stake in the associated Beryl-SAGE gas pipeline. The sale is expected to close in 2017.
