Two of the world's largest oil-field service companies are charting different paths, regardless of the direction oil prices take, with one eyeing growth and the other narrowing its focus. After the Halliburton-Baker Hughes megamerger fell apart in May, Baker Hughes Chief Executive Martin Craighead said the service company would begin to offer more specialized services, simplifying its organization and pulling back investment to only select markets (OD May4'16).
