Mozambique to Launch Sixth Licensing Round

Mozambique is to launch a sixth licensing round for exploration acreage in 2017 or 2018, it was announced Tuesday at Africa Oil Week in Cape Town. Government officials gave no details but it is understood the areas to be offered have yet to be determined or demarcated. The state regulator, INP, is in the process of awarding multi-client surveys over six zones that will be used to establish the license areas, industry sources say.
