The former president of China's state - run Sinopec, Wang Tianpu, has been charged with corruption, confirming him as the latest top oil official to fall foul of a government - sanctioned graft probe that has still not run out of steam. Wang took advantage of his position and influence at Sinopec, where he was No. 2 to former chairman Fu Chengyu, to seek illegitimate interests for others, take bribes and embezzle public property, China’s state prosecutor said late Monday.
