Late Rally Spares Brent Futures From Another Big Loss

A sudden rally in the last few minutes of trading limited Brent crude futures' losses to a few cents on Thursday, but they still closed below $50 for a fourth-straight session. Brent sank to an intraday low of $48.88 in choppy trading, but the September contract was able to claw back about 40￠ in the final eight minutes of trading to settle just 7￠ lower at $49.52 per barrel.
