Pemex Losses Continue as Output Keeps Falling

Pemex announced an 84.6 billion peso ($5.2 billion) net loss for this year's second quarter as Mexico's state-owned oil producer was squeezed by the slump in crude prices, falling production and a heavy tax burden. The company has been in the red for 11 consecutive quarters now, although the loss for the April-June quarter fell short of the 100.5 billion-peso deficit that Pemex reported for the first three months of this year (OD May1'15).
