Report: E&P Job Losses in Texas Deeper Than Expected

Jobs losses in the oil and natural gas industry in Texas may be much deeper than previously thought and could reach north of 56,000 from December 2014 to September 2015, according to analysis by the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers. Energy economist Karr Ingham, an analyst for the alliance, said that when global crude prices started their nosedive late in 2014, an initial forecast called for Texas to lose about 40,000 to 50,000 jobs.
