Mexico Awards Onshore Oil and Gas Fields

Mexico has awarded several onshore oil and gas fields to private companies in the third installment of its first upstream bid round since a 2013 energy reform ended state - owned Pemex's monopoly. As of late Tuesday afternoon, upstream regulator CNH had awarded four out of 25 mature fields that it had put up for auction in a public event broadcast live over the Internet.
