Pemex Pledges to End Long Slide in Output

Mexico's state - owned oil producer Pemex says that this year it will finally reverse a long slide in its oil production that has seen volumes fall by almost a million barrels per day since 2004. Speaking at the IHS CeraWeek energy conference in Houston this week, Chief Executive Emilio Lozoya said Pemex would achieve that production growth in part via new partnerships with private companies.
