Pemex Seeks to Swap Heavy Crude for Light US Oil

Mexico's state-owned oil company Pemex confirmed it has proposed a crude oil swap with the US, under which it would send heavy crude north in exchange for light US crude that it would process in Mexican refineries. Pemex said on Thursday it had filed a request sometime last year with the US Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to import up to 100,000 barrels per day of light crude and condensate.
