Obituary: Petroleum Economist Morris Adelman

Morris Adelman, the last of the three giants of petroleum economics, died earlier this month at the age of 96. Adelman, Paul Frankel and Walter Levy were the world's leading authorities on the subject long before the 1973 Arab embargo moved oil from the back of the financial section to the front page. Adelman outlived Frankel by 20 years and Levy by 17.
