Gran Tierra Books Oil Reserves in Peru's Amazon Region

Canadian-based independent Gran Tierra has announced that it holds "significant reserves" in an exploration block located in northern Peru's Amazon jungle. The company says the Bretana oil field, located in Block 95 in the Maranon Basin, holds proved and probable (2P) reserves totaling 61.5 million barrels of crude. It estimates proved, probable and possible (3P) reserves at the field amount to 113.9 million bbl. Gran Tierra holds a 100% working interest in the block.
