Brazilian authorities have agreed to extend the exploration period for 10 blocks in the Solimoes Basin, in northern Brazil's Amazon jungle, which are being developed by Brazilian independent HRT Participacoes em Petroleo and TNK-BP, which is set to be soon overtaken by Russia's state-controlled Rosneft (OD Dec.7'12).
