Chesapeake Raises Guidance as NGL Volumes Surge

US natural gas giant Chesapeake Energy has upped its guidance for production growth and cash flow this year after reporting increased liquids production and higher price realizations -- especially for natural gas -- during the first quarter. Chesapeake is now shooting for output of 690,000 - 710,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2014, an increase of 9% to 12% over 2013. Its previous growth guidance was 8% to 10% ( OD Feb.7'14 ).
