A US Gulf of Mexico oil spill response team comprised of 100 specialized personnel is being formed by the Marine Well Containment Co. (MWCC) and energy services firm Wood Group. Members of the team will be based primarily in southern Louisiana and would be called up to operate MWCCs expanded containment system in the event of another major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. They will be selected and trained by Wood Group.
