PDV Sees Rising China Exports

Venezuela hopes to export 1 million b/d of crude to China, the head of state producer Petroleos de Venezuela (PDV) told a group of his country's legislators this week. PDV President Rafael Ramirez told the National Assembly's permanent finance committee that Venezuela currently sends 640,000 b/d to China through a deal with an affiliate of China National Petroleum Corp. He said Venezuela has a "strategic vision" to diversify destinations for its crude exports, which have traditionally gone to the US.
