India Approves Rajasthan Output Boost

India’s oil ministry has approved Cairn India’s plans to raise production at the country’s biggest onshore oil field, in the northwest state of Rajasthan, by a bumper 71% to 300,000 b/d, Oil Minister Veerappa Moily said last week. Cairn is currently producing 175,000 b/d from the western desert Rajasthan field.
