Ireland Pulls Bord Gais Sale

Ireland's energy minister, Pat Rabbitte, has confirmed to state gas company Bord Gais that none of the final bids received for its energy supply business were acceptable, even though there was "significant interest from a broad range of potential international acquirers." The assets were formally offered for sale nine months ago (WGI Feb.20'13). His ministry will now work to complete the separation of Bord Gais Networks from Bord Gais Energy in line with EU law.
