Shell Gains Access to Russian Arctic Via Gazprom Neft Dea

Royal Dutch Shell will finally gain access to Russia’s Arctic resources after signing an expected deal with Russian’s state-owned Gazprom Neft during a visit to the Netherlands by President Vladimir Putin on Apr. 8. More energy deals could be forged in the Hague including one with Dutch gas company Gasunie on expansion of the Nord Stream pipeline pumping Russian gas to Europe under the Baltic Sea.
