North Sea Platform Evacuated

A Talisman Energy platform at the Yme oilfield offshore Norway has been evacuated, Petroleum Safety Authority Norway said in a statement to ANP-Reuters. Dutch offshore engineering company SBM Offshore was working on the platform at the time. SBM Offshore, which did not respond immediately to requests for comment, already has taken charges for its work at the Yme platform because of cost overruns (OD May14'07).
