Encana Targets 30% Growth in Liquids Output in 2014

Canadian gas giant Encana plans to boost its production of oil and natural gas liquids by 30% in 2014 as it ramps up the transformation from its previous incarnation as a pure-play gas producer. The boost in liquids output will be driven by Encana's five key oil and liquids-rich plays -- the Montney and Duvernay Shales in western Canada, the Denver-Julesberg (DJ) Basin in Colorado, the San Juan Basin in New Mexico, and the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale (TMS) in Louisiana and Mississippi.
