Exxon, Rosneft Ink US Gulf Deal

Exxon Mobil and Rosneft continue to build out their strategic cooperation agreement, inking a farm-in deal on Wednesday that will see the Russian oil giant take a 30% stake in 20 Exxon exploration blocks in the US Gulf of Mexico. The deal will give Rosneft an interest in 111,600 net acres in the US Gulf spread across 17 blocks in the Western Gulf of Mexico and three in the Central Gulf. Exxon will retain a 70% operated interest in each license.
