Enbridge to Build New Pipeline

Canada’s Enbridge said it will build anew pipeline along the southern sectionof its existing Athabasca line, from KirbyLake, Alberta, to the Hardisty, Albertacrude oil hub, at a cost of about $1.2billion.The company, which is the main trans-porter of Canadian oil to the US, said thenew pipeline will initially increase capaci-ty between these points by about 450,000b/d, with low-cost expansion potential to800,000 b/d.
