Russia is not going to increase crude production to help reduce global oil prices pushed higher by turmoil in the Mideast and Northern Africa, according to Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko. Speaking to reporters in Germany, he said the hike in oil prices is related to fears of a possible shortage. “But this is only a short-term impression,” he said.
