North American Energy Resources said it has purchased several onshore and offshore oil and gas fields from a private seller in a $175 million cash deal. The assets involved in the transaction include 108 producing wells in 34 fields with average net production of 2,900 boe/d-12 MMcf/d of natural gas and 900 b/d of oil. The assets have proven reserves of 14.5 million boe with additional probable and possible reserve potential of more than 5 million boe. The company said 30% of the reserves are currently producing.
