Bakken Fuels Rapid Growth in North Dakota Crude Oil Production

Rapid production growth from the Bakken oil formation in North Dakota is on track to transform the state into a leading source of domestic crude supply in coming years, financial services firm Raymond James said in a research note published Monday. Raymond James analyst John Freeman wrote that with 11 billion barrels of potentially recoverable oil, the formation is emerging as one of the fastest growing crude oil plays in the US.
