Lukoil Turns Greener

Pushing on with plans to diversify intogreen energy, Russia’s biggest private oil pro-ducer, Lukoil, says it has signed an agree-ment with Italy’s Erg Renew to set up a jointventure. The new company will focus on re-newable energies, particularly wind power,initially focusing on Bulgaria and Romaniabefore expanding into Ukraine and Russia,a Lukoil spokesman said. He added thatLukoil will use the energy produced itself,rather than sell it.
