Japan’s average refinery utilization ratecontinued to slip in the week to May 21,as refiners cut average crude throughput to2.89 million b/d, or 72.1% of capacity, ac-cording to data released Wednesday by thePetroleum Association of Japan (PAJ).Refiners had operated at 75.1% of capaci-ty the week before, processing 3.01 millionb/d of crude.Total onshore oil products stocks fell3.07%, or 2.67 million b/d, to 84.34 millionb/d. All products showed declines except forkerosene.
