Eagle Ford Base for Halliburton

Halliburton has broken ground on a new $50 million operations base in San Antonio that it will use to support clients working in the Eagle Ford Shale. The company said it will employ 1,500 workers to support its operations from the new base, adding that about 75% of those workers-roughly 1,100-will be hired locally. The workers, Halliburton added, will have annual salaries averaging $70,000. The remaining 25% of the workers at the new facility will be transferred from other Halliburton operations.
