Rowan Orders Drillships

Rowan has entered into a $1.2 billioncontact with Hyundai Heavy Industries forthe construction of two new ultra-deepwa-ter drillships.The two ships — each costing about$605 million — will be built at Hyundai’sshipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. The firstship will be delivered in late 2013 with thesecond by mid-2014.
