Chevron Looks to Build on Five-Billion Barrel Permian Basin Legacy

Chevron in one form or another has owned a stake in two out of every five barrels produced in the Permian Basin since oil was first discovered there some 90 years ago. However, the US major is focused less on those billions of barrels than on the next billion to emerge from the basin which extends from West Texas into Southeast New Mexico.
