CRG reports 70% rise in Q1 production as processing plant exceeds forecasts

JOHANNESBURG- and London-listed Central Rand Gold (CRG) reported a 70% rise in its production for the first quarter of 2012 to 4 777 oz, with 3 051 oz having been produced by its own operating plant. CRG's ore processing plant continued to perform above expectations, showing an overall reduction in operating costs and an increase in ore throughput and gold output.
