Lundin ready to resume exploration at Lagansky

SWEDEN-listed Lundin Petroleum is planning to resume exploration drilling on the Lagansky block in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea in 2011, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.For this year, the company is planning to shoot 75 square kilometres of 3D seismic on the block and construct self elevating platform for continued exploration drilling. Last year, Lundin drilled a dry appraisal well on the Lagansky block after the promising flow of hydrocarbons from the first well which was spudded in 2008 on the block's Morskaya structure.
