THE worst sea ice build-up in 30 years at Bohai Bay in northern China has disrupted operations of some oil and gas helds owned by CNOOC Ltd and Sinopec, writes Xu Yihe.Worst hit are fields operated by Sinopec because 30-centimetre thick ice covering 40% of the sea area has affected logistics, preventing supply vessels travelling to and from platforms and onshore terminals.
