Polyus Gold International Ltd (PGIL), which is OJSC Polyus Gold's controlling shareholder, boosted refined gold output by 18% year-on-year to 721,000 ounces in the first half of 2012, the company said in a statement.Revenue is expected to come to $1,223 billion for the six-month period, compared to $902 million at the same time last year, or growth of 35.6%."In the first half of 2012, the Company sold 748,000 ounces of gold, compared to 629,000 ounces in the first half of 2011," the statement said. "The estimated weighted-average gold selling price was $1,634 per ounce, a 14% increase year-on-year (first half of 2011: $1,433)," it said.
