Zimbabwe: African Consolidated executive arrested

THE ongoing dispute over the Marange diamond fields in Zimbabwe took another turn recently when an executive of African Consolidated Resources plc (ACR) was arrested. Ian Harris, the company's financial controller, was released on bail after having been charged with fraudulently acquiring diamond claims. The company said the charges have no legal basis.
