South African court revokes platinum prospecting right

THE South African Constitutional Court has set aside a prospecting right previously granted to Nkwe Platinum Ltd's controlling shareholder, Genorah Resources Ltd, while ordering the legal costs to be shared between the company and the state. In its judgement, the court said: "There is no reason why the state and Genorah, who made common cause in relation to almost all the issues in the case, should not share the costs burden jointly and severally."
