摘要

In this article, the design, fabrication, and characterization of a new shape of metamaterial absorber was investigated at X-band. The primary structure has a thickness nearly of lambda(0)/120 at their resonance frequency. The simulated results show that absorptivity occurs at 10.312 GHz with peak absorbance value of 99.90%. The absorber exhibits, a response with full width at half maxima bandwidth 5.200%. By the suitable arrangement, we achieve the absorption for multi peaks of incident electromagnetic wave. The scalability property of metamaterials was utilized. Moreover, the present study investigated another method for broadening the absorption bandwidth, that is, structures with different geometrical parameters are staked in multi-layered metamaterial absorbers. In all cases, the experimental results are in excellent agreement with simulation. (C) 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
