This article presents the development of textile compact microstrip filters using jeans fabric dielectric substrates and pure copper polyester taffeta fabric conducting strips. Microstrip circuits such as antennas, filters, and frequency selective surfaces on textile materials exhibit some advantages over the traditional ones on microwave dielectric substrates, such as high flexibility, low weight, low cost, and easy fabrication. The proposed textile filter with inverted double-E geometry is analyzed using the wave concept iterative procedure (WCIP), a full-wave method, and through Ansoft Designer software. Filters with multiband reject performance are designed. For the purpose of validation, prototypes are manufactured and measured.
