Chinese exporters raised their offers forammonium para-tungstate (APT) last week because of higher tungsten concentrate prices. On May15, offers from major traders stood at $380-390 permtu fob China, up about $10 from May10. "Maybe overseas APT buyers can't accept the price increase forthe time being. We have no choice but to liftthe price of the material because of cost pressures," an exporter from China's Jiangxi province, which is a major tungsten production base, said.
