China's struggling cobalt sector has been forced to start consolidating, which industry experts believe maytake a few years but will ultimately benefit the sector. Many small or mid-sized cobalt producers shut their facilities last year due to poor market conditions and government-ordered power cuts. Some have since sold their operations. "I would say at least two years, as it is neveran easy decision to quit the market," a producerin northern China agreed.
