Antofagasta will invest 1.3 billion dollars in Antucoya copper asset

Antofagasta will investan estimated 1.3 billion dollars in the development of the Antucoya copper project in Chile, the company said on December 14. The company has signed an agreement with Marubeni Corp under which Marubeni will become a 30% partner in the project, in return for $350 million and a commitment to fund its share of development pro rata.
