Equities the holy grail of LME deal - HKEx ceo claims it will use LME to open the door to China

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing plans to use the London Metal Exchange to open the doorto its "holy grail" of the Chinese equity markets, accordingto its ceo Charles Li. Improvements to existing contracts, the addition of other commodities, new cash-cleared and yuan-denominated contracts tailored to the Chinese market, plusthe launch of a new clearing platform, are all central to this aim, he told Metal Bulletin in an exclusive interview in Hong Kong.
