Eight miners have had their bauxite mining licences in west Bintan revoked, an industry source told MB. "From what I know, the affected area [is no longer] producing. Their permits have been withdrawn. It will be illegal to do so [mine]," an official from one of the eight miners said. His company's mines, which are located in west Bintan and usually produce 100,000 tpm of bauxite, have completely stopped output, he said.
