A US bankruptcy judge has granted Renaissance Partners Inc more time to wrap up its efforts to purchase and restart bankrupt and idled US bar producer CSC Ltd of Warren, Ohio.Judge William Bodoh gave Renaissance, a leading management buyout firm, until October 1 to complete its plan to reopen the shut plant. George Petrenko, Renaissance principal, said the deadline leaves time for remaining due diligence work and to reach a contract with the United Steelworkers union.CSC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on January 12 and has attempted to phase out its operation since that time, putting 950 United Steelworkers and 170 salaried employees out of work.
