EFSA wins high praise from Ernst & Young auditors

The European Food Safety Authority, which has drawn frequent criticism from EU member-states and members of the European Parliament, has won high praise from the international auditing firm Ernst & Young, EU Food Law reports. In an independent report commissioned by EFSA,Ernst & Young says the food safety body is delivering on all fronts, while making recommendations for further improvements. EFSA continues to demonstrate its value as the cornerstone of risk assessment for food and feed in the EU and is fulfilling its obligations to operate in an independent manner, the auditing firm says.
