In its Second Draft Policy Assessment for Particulate Matter, published in the Federal Register on July 8, the agency says it is considering establishing a limit for dust as low as 65-85 micrograms per cubic meter, which is twice as stringent as the current standard of 150 micrograms per cubic meter.
